Manic Monday ~ "I wish I woulda......"

Have you ever got to a moment in your life and wished you would have done things differently? It can be daily, like when you got up on the wrong side of the bed and everyone felt the wrath of that all day long. Or maybe it's something bigger, like attending a class reunion or wedding and wishing your health was better since you had a hard time finding a nice outfit that fits! In any instance, we might think like that catchy phrase that comes to mind: "I wish I woulda, shoulda, coulda..." (Something like that). We can tend to think thoughts like, "I wish I would have ate better, "..... "I should have exercised more"......"I could have been at my goal by now if I stuck to my plan." Those thoughts can be so defeating. If you are a repeat offender of these thoughts, maybe it's time to change your way of thinking! It takes change to make change....right? How would you live your life, in particular your healthy lifestyle journey, if you would ALWAYS use these phrases: "I WILL....," or "I SHALL....," or "I CAN!" These phrases refer to action being taken. These phrases reflect what is possible, not impossible. But, you have to use them and take action! Trust me when I say that you don't want to experience another moment of wishing you would have or should have started living a healthier lifestyle a long time ago. I say this for another important reason. Many health issues are preventable. Many of my past clients have been able to avoid high blood pressure and high cholesterol (avoiding medications) through healthier living. Many have become stronger which has allowed them to avoid muscle and bone injury. Many have reduced their stress levels. The list goes on. Listen, the time is now! Don't waste another day of potential progress. Every day counts! You get one body in this lifetime. It's an honor to take care of what God designed! No more wishing! It's time to be doing! Have a GREAT week! Rachel Zimmerman, Certified Personal Trainer and Life Coach ACE/NSCA Wife, Mother, and Friend
