Manic Monday ~ Mother’s Day Pleasers
Just so you know, it's Mother's Day next Sunday! AND because I'm a mom, I know how precious it is for my kiddies to write handmade notes and pick flowers for me! It's the best! My husband honors this special day too with a swap of duties by cleaning and cooking dinner. And THAT is a gift in itself! However, there are some years when I use Mother's Day to seek after the possibility of receiving a certain gift I've been wishing to have but won't buy for myself. And I know I'm not alone! So here is a list of "hopeful" gifts that some of us active moms:
No matter what type of physical fitness floats her boat or where she’s going after her workout, this versatile duffel bag has tons of compartments to hold all kinds of gear and accessories, including a laptop and a yoga mat. Interior pockets separate sweaty items and there’s even a removable heat-resistant one for hot hair tools when she needs to touch up and go. Don’t be surprised if she uses this way beyond her class or gym session.
Hugger Mugger Marbled Yoga Foam Roller
Foam rolling might be painful but it’s essential for any fit mama’s recovery. Help her do it in style with this one that features a modern and very of-the-moment marble design.
Contigo Couture Matterhorn ThermaLock Water Bottle
Gifting a mom who is not a fitness aficionado a water bottle might seem like a lame gift, but the mom who’s always movin’ and shakin’ will definitely appreciate a new vessel, especially when it’s as chic as this one. It’s got all the same features that everyone’s come to know and love from Contigo Couture bottles (like a leak-proof lid, stainless steel interior that keeps drinks cold for 24 hours or hot for 12, a wide mouth for optima water flow and cleaning) but with full-body graphics that’ll distinguish hers from everyone else’s and a carry handle for easy transport. You’re sure to find one that best suits her personality with the range of colors and patterns it comes in.
Premium Be Free Yoga Kit
Whether she’s just starting to learn the basics or she’s already a veteran yogi, this four-piece kit will help strengthen her practice. A color-coordinating mat (that’s also reversible), towel (super absorbent during sweaty sessions), strap (sturdy leverage for when she wants to try out that new pose), and block (for support when she needs it most) give her all the tools and gear she needs to yoga it out!
Sunbeam® Heated Back Wrap with Shiatsu Massage
Treat mom to regular massages without actually sending her to the spa all the time (who has the budget for that?) when you gift her this heated massaging wrap which is ideal for rest and recovery days. All she has to do is plug it in, turn it on, and four shiatsu back massager nodes work their magic along with heat to relieve muscle tension in her back. She’ll have you to thank for helping her spring back into action every time.
The Collins Hybrid Woven Strap Smart Watch Set
A smartwatch that doesn’t actually look like it is hard to come by but this one looks like a classic, traditional timepiece yet it also syncs up to her smartphone for music, texting, activity tracking, and more. This particular set also comes complete with three different bands that can be changed out depending on what she’s doing—silicone when she’s actually working out, a leather one for dressier occasions, and the woven one for everyday wear. She’ll like the fact that she can wear it beyond the gym.
BLACK+DECKER Infuser 3-In-1 Digital PowerCrush Blending System
Take her water infusing game to the next level with the help of this multifunctional gadget. It has an infusion filter that attaches to the blender’s jar, making it easy to add a healthy flavor boost to water. The blender itself can also pulverize other tough ingredients like frozen fruit to create delicious smoothies as well as soups, iced drinks, and purees so she’ll never be without a nutritious dish or drink to slurp and sip.
Supremely soft but also supremely cool, these sweats are made of organic cotton will become her new everything pant. Not only do they work for whatever physical activity she’s planning on partaking in during the day, but also for running errands, relaxing, and post-pilates smoothies.
BeatsX In-Ear Headphones
Beats by Dr. Dre
Like functional jewelry but for working out, these gold headphones are as pretty as a pair of earrings. More than just for good looks, their wireless design prevents swinging cords from getting in her way for an uninterrupted sweat session.
The Laundress Sport Detergent
Let’s just say that sweat-soaked gym gear doesn’t exactly smell great and likewise they don’t exactly wash the same way like other clothes in a typical laundry load. This duo features The Laundress’ special sport formula made just for sweaty unmentionables in two different formats (and very classy packaging at that)—a detergent and refresh spray—to ensure her leggings and tanks will be good as new (and not wreaking of BO) for her next slew of workouts
Live Out There Joffre Women's Lightweight Insulated Jacket
Live Out There
The perfect shell for any outdoor, heart-pumping exercise, this sleek black lightweight jacket (seriously it weighs nothing) will keep her cool even as things heat up. She can even wear it while on her way to a class or the gym and then fold it up and throw in her bag (it won’t lose its form) when not in use.
AllBirds Wool Runners
From the streets to the trail and everywhere in between, these unique wool (yes, that’s right) sneakers will keep her moving forward. Feet stay dry thanks to the finely milled and itch-free merino wool which repels water on the outside but also wicks away moisture on the inside. Its S-shaped sole ensures maximum comfort—seriously no arch pain! The pretty purple color is sophisticated yet sporty enough for when she’s up in the gym working on her fitness or out and about. Either way, she’ll stand out from the crowd in the best of ways when sporting them.
So, there you have it! A list of good quality gifts that would please any active mom!!!
But, as all moms say, “It’s not the gifts that count, it’s the joy of celebrating motherhood!”
Enjoy this beautiful week!
