Manic Monday ~ The Victory Calendar

It’s still the month of the new year and calendars are going on sale. Pick up a 2018 wall or desk calendar and create the “Victory Calendar.” This calendar will be a helpful accountability tool for you this entire year. Accountability can be something hard to come by when you venture out on a new lifestyle change by yourself. Finding ways to be accountable to yourself can make a difference in the success of your journey. And sometimes it’s the simple tools that can be mentally effective.

Hopefully by now you have set your realistic goals. Part of successful achievement of goals is having a plan and being prepared. Each day should be thoughtfully planned out for best results. and with each day of accomplishment, there should be praise. Because a day can make or break your efforts. Hence, the “Victory Calendar!” For each day you reach your goal of eating right and exercising, place a BIG “V” over the calendar day square. The goal is to have 90-100% of your days ending in VICTORY. That would be approximately 27-31 days a month of achieving daily success. It’s a great visual to see all these “V’s” rack up on a calendar page. Not to mention, it’s a positive chant of victory! Who says you can’t be accountable to your own self?

I tried this tool with a few of my awesome client friends. Each week they reported back to me with their victory report. One client took a similar approach and gave herself a grade each day. Her scale was like that if a school report card: “A” for 90-100% of achievement regarding her daily goals. She included A- and A+. She further used B and C on down the list. It was a great accountability tool for her and she seemed to achieve her goals with it.

I’m sure there are more incredible self accountability tools out there that people are using. Please feel free to share in the comment section of this post!

Shoot for a V-I-C-T-O-R-Y this month, better yet, this year! You deserve it!!

Have a GREAT week!
